I'm back, but I'm not..

So i'm back from a busy five days skiing and driving the great ocean road.

Skiing was good. and bad. The first two days were fairly average..it rained and half the mountain (supertrail) was closed because there was so little cover. Then on Sunday, the heavens opened and it SNOWED. I've never skiied in such a blizzard before, which isnt saying that much, but it was heavy.. worst conditions i've ever skiied in.

Having said that, the blizzard meant that all the runs got cover and it actually became quite good conditions to ski in. The only other pro

blem was that it turns out my ski gear is not waterproof.. even the north face jacket I bought. TT has the same jacket and HIS one was waterproof.. dodgy online purchase. I'm definitely taking it back to north face and asking what the hell is going on.

I got back from the snow on Sunday night and then K and I went to drive the great ocean road in a Mini Cooper S - which was nice. The car is very comparable to the Clio, but the suspension was firmer. Handling was very good and the firmer suspension inspired confidence turning in. The throttle response was sharp in sports mode and the car was very fun to drive, especially on the Great Ocean Road Twisties.

Unfortunately it was mostly wet and I wasn't able to really push the car, for fear of running off a cliff into the ocean or a tree but when I was able to get a nice corner, the car held its ground well. Overally K and I agreed that it was a fun car, but not one we would buy, there are just too many better options for the same price...
